For my girlfriend's birthday, I made an illustration of her favorite things to celebrate her as a person.
The main character in the print is her brown Le Sucre bunny doll named Bunbun. Bunbun wears a black leather jacket and fashions an electric guitar, representing her love for the rock band MUSE. The title 'BUNBUN x ERIKA' is set in Frutiger, and made to resemble the logo of the band.
The Korean words in the background — '생일 축하해요' — means 'happy birthday'. She was leaving for South Korea for a student exchange.
The minimalist treatment, the dash of gold, and the white background is made to resemble kikki.K's aesthetics, a style that she very much adores.
